My eighth year attending this particular convention. And wow, it only gets more fun as the years go by. Now, this was only my second convention where I attended all three days. And it was exhausting. But worth it, so, so worth it.
Kicking off Friday, March 13th, I attended as Skullkid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. This was this cosplay’s debut, and I actually had only finished it the day of the convention. I had no idea what this cosplay looked like from the outside, and I truly thought it looked bad.
But I had over 30 people stop me and ask for photos, probably another 15 who commented on the go. And…I got interviewed by Kent State! My first ever interview in cosplay, needless to say, I was excited. And just after that I attended the cosplay red carpet, my favorite. On this post I can be found on image 9, I’m seen at 0:26 seconds on this reel, and my interview is here!
Also, the cosplay turned out way better than I expected. And nothing broke!
Day two wasn’t as exciting, though it definitely wasn’t bad. I debuted Dream of The Endless, AKA Morpheus, AKA The Sandman! This cosplay was…very surprisingly worse to wear than Skullkid. Somehow. And I was accompanied by The Corinthian. Nothing much of note happened, though I did attend the red carpet. My red carpet walk video can be found here!
And day three was, while I think not as successful as day one, was the most enjoyable. I debuted my updated version of The Hollow Knight, and had already had eight people ask for photos within the first ten minutes of me putting on the head. The crowd response was insane. I started the day by getting a private photoshoot with Mrarcada (on Instagram), these photos will be uploaded when they come out. I mostly just walked around and watched the crowd, then the red carpet, and then walking around some more. While not a lot happened, just being in cosplay was fun.
